Clean Growth Fund

The Freeport East Clean Growth Fund will provide financial assistance to ambitious local businesses operating within high-potential sectors where Freeport East sees the opportunity to build greater local expertise and clusters.  These include clean energy, green hydrogen, advanced logistics, advanced manufacturing, digital and agritech. Financial help could be provided for developing new products, targeting new export opportunities, expanding production and building greater technical capacity.

As well as financial support from the Fund, successful applicants will also be able to benefit from Freeport East’s wider connections, such as to increase visibility in overseas markets, highlight policy challenges to Government or attract new financial investment.

Freeport East separately offers a bespoke regulatory engagement function which allows local businesses to get enhanced access to national economic and technical regulators, to discuss and address regulations that may be inhibiting innovation or business growth.

All businesses operating within the Freeport East area are eligible to apply for the Clean Growth Fund.

Following an earlier expressions of interest stage, applications for the Clean Growth Fund are now open.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on the 10th May 2024.
