Entopy
Entopy is an AI and Digital Twin technology company, redefining how organisations understand and act on complex, real-world data. Since its shift in focus to the supply chain sector in 2020, the company has expanded rapidly across ports and maritime, transport networks, critical infrastructure, and utilities and energy.
Headquartered in Newmarket, Suffolk, Entopy has achieved consistent year-on-year growth, doubling revenue for multiple consecutive years. With a small but highly skilled team, Entopy delivers enterprise-level impact and is trusted by both public and private sector organisations, including the Port of Dover, Harwich Haven Authority, and Bio Capital.
Entopy’s expertise lies in unifying and interpreting large, complex, and fragmented datasets to deliver real-time operational and predictive intelligence. Its technology is powered by AI micromodels: lightweight, scalable machine learning models that can be rapidly deployed through Entopy’s AI and Digital Twin platform. Built for integration into existing systems, the platform prioritises speed, flexibility, and accuracy, making Entopy a credible UK alternative to major US-based AI providers. This capability makes it particularly suited to environments such as smart cities, logistics, maritime, energy, and emergency resilience planning.

Working with Freeport East – Opening doors to innovation
In 2023, Entopy partnered with Freeport East, a collaboration that has driven both innovation and expansion. Through Freeport East, Entopy gained access to key research and innovation hubs, including the University of Essex and the Connected Places Catapult. This support has helped secure funding from Innovate UK and the Freight Innovation Fund, part of the Department for Transport’s Future of Freight Strategy. These programmes have enabled Entopy to accelerate development of its pioneering micromodels and deepen engagement with major UK ports.
Freeport East also introduced Entopy to new funding opportunities through the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and the Defence and Space Accelerator (DASA), broadening its potential reach into renewable energy, defence, and other strategic growth sectors.
Toby Mills, founder and CEO of Entopy, acknowledges the critical role of Freeport East:
“Freeport East is playing a pivotal role in our journey. They have provided invaluable support, forged critical connections, exposed us to PR opportunities, facilitated networking, and even connected us with senior government ministers. Entopy is now well-prepared for sustained growth in the digital twin sector.”

Looking ahead
Entopy remains focused on scaling across new verticals, expanding its customer base, and enhancing its core AI and Digital Twin capabilities. Entopy’s mission continues to be to turn complex, disparate data into meaningful intelligence, enabling organisations to make better decisions, faster, and with greater confidence.
